Your Job
As a Retail Sales Associate at Human Race Sports, you help deliver the personalized, expert-level experience our customers expect. You bring energy, curiosity, product knowledge, and genuine care to every interaction - helping customers feel welcome, supported, and confident in their selections.
You support daily store operations through fitting, merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining a clean, organized environment. You are a storyteller, a problem solver, and a trusted guide who helps make every visit the best part of someone’s day.
Your Responsibilities
Create a warm, welcoming, inclusive environment from greeting to checkout.
Deliver personalized customer service through active listening, thoughtful questions, and expert product education.
Build authentic relationships with runners, walkers, workers-on-their-feet, and families in our community.
Guide customers in selecting the right footwear, apparel, insoles, and accessories; support fitting and gait analysis as trained.
Identify secondary needs and offer solutions that improve comfort, performance, or daily life.
Stay current on product technologies, features, and benefits.
Become a fit expert through ongoing training in footwear, apparel, and socks/insoles.
Maintain store readiness through daily cleaning (including floors and bathrooms), organization, and stock replenishment.
Participate in inventory processes including receiving, counting, and stocking back-of-house inventory.
Accurately perform POS transactions.
Support store events, fun runs, team nights, and community activations.
Communicate effectively with leadership and teammates to support store goals.
Demonstrate dependable attendance, professionalism, and a positive team presence.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Retail or customer-facing experience preferred.
Availability to work 2–3 shifts per week, including evenings and weekends.
Moderate computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Accurate POS and inventory counting abilities.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Excellent interpersonal skills that build trust and connection.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Keen attention to detail with awareness of broader store needs.
Interest in running, walking, fitness, or helping people feel better in their bodies.
Genuine care for people and alignment with Human Race Sports’ values.
Compensation
Hourly pay based on experience, product knowledge, and performance.
